The MPS wire draw displacement sensor, also known as wire draw ruler, wire draw encoder, wire draw 

displacement sensor, wire draw crack gauge, crack displacement sensor, wire draw encoder, is a compact 

integration of linear displacement sensor structure, fully combining the advantages of angle sensor and linear 

displacement sensor. It has a long measurement stroke, small installation space, and high-precision measurement.

 The series of wire draw displacement sensors are divided into S: small (0-2500mm maximum stroke selectable), 

M: medium (2501-8000mm maximum stroke selectable), and L: large (8001-15000mm maximum stroke selectable). 

It has analog current signal mA: 4-20mA, analog voltage signal V1: 0-5V, V2: 0-10V, and pulse signal P: A, B, Z 

phase digital output, RS485 digital signal output. It meets the needs of large stroke, high precision, various signal 

requirements, and various application occasions.

Selection Guide

When selecting a wire draw displacement sensor, one should consider the three elements of stroke, output signal, and installation space:

1、It is recommended to leave a margin when selecting the sensor stroke (the sensor stroke is one specification larger than the actual stroke)。It is strictly forbidden to exceed the stroke.

2、The sensor signal output type shall match the signal type that can be collected by the field acquisition equipment.

3、The on-site installation space should be considered, and a suitable wire draw displacement sensor should be selected.

4、If there are doubts about the selection, you can contact our customer service manager for detailed consultation.

Description: resistance output type of pull rope displacement sensor is 5V and 10V, output 0-5V and 0-10V voltage signal; voltage

 output type and current output type are 15-24V, 12V power supply needs special instructions; RS485 output type is 6-12V, 24V;

 pulse output type is 6-30V, and differential signal output needs 5V power output. The sensor shielding line is standard with 1 meter, 

default external thread rope head, optional internal thread rope head. 

Instructions for Use

1、Use the bottom fixing screw hole or magnet, according to the needs of the site and machine installation space facilities, directly

 install or add protection or other mechanical uses.

2、When installing stainless steel cable, pay attention to the horizontal angle, i.e., try to make the cable from the outlet to the moving 

part of the mechanism level when working.

3、Keep a small angle (with a tolerance of +/-3°) to ensure measurement accuracy and the life of the cable. The cable body is 

stainless steel coated with a fluorine layer. Do not let it be cut, burned, or impacted by external force. Excessive dust, chips, or 

objects that can damage the cable are stored in the internal pulley or outlet, which will cause the cable to be damaged, resulting in

 unsmooth operation.

4、Do not pull the cable out by hand or other products and let it instantly snap back without being installed on the workbench or 

fixed seat. This action will cause the cable to break, damaging the structure and personal safety.

5、The instant acceleration of reciprocating motion of MPS-S and MPS-M series products should not exceed 2 meters/second; the 

instant acceleration of reciprocating motion of MPS-L and MPS-L-P series products should not exceed 1 meter/second. This action 

will cause the cable to break, and the company will not bear the responsibility for normal use beyond the scope.

6、If used in non-linear motion mechanisms, please add appropriate pulley operation.

7、If used in harsh or special occasions, please add a protection mechanism by yourself.
