Function introduction:
The function of the draw-wire displacement sensor is to convert mechanical movement into electrical signals that can be measured, recorded or transmitted. The draw-wire displacement sensor consists of a stretchable stainless steel wire wound around a threaded hub. This hub is connected to a precision rotary sensor. The sensor can be an incremental encoder, an absolute (independent) encoder, a hybrid or conductive plastic rotary potentiometer, a synchronizer or a resolver.
Working principle:
In operation, the main body of the draw-wire displacement sensor is generally installed in a fixed position, and the draw-wire steel wire is tied to the moving object. The linear movement of the draw-wire is aligned with the movement axis of the moving object. When movement occurs, the draw-wire is pulled and retracted. Inside the sensor, there is a spring that ensures the tension of the draw-wire remains constant. The threaded hub drives a precision wound potentiometer or encoder to rotate and outputs an analog electrical signal or pulse number proportional to the movement distance of the draw-wire. The output signal is converted by the program of the acquisition device, so that intuitive data such as the displacement, direction or speed of the moving object can be obtained.
Common parameters:
The common parameters of the draw-wire displacement sensor generally include: measurement stroke, output signal, linearity, repeatability, resolution, wire diameter specification, outlet pull force, maximum round-trip speed, pull force, input resistance value, power, working voltage, working temperature, vibration, protection level, etc.
The draw-wire displacement sensor is divided into two product categories: digital output type and analog output type:
The draw-wire displacement sensor of digital signal type is also called draw-wire encoder. Its core sensing element generally adopts incremental encoder or absolute value encoder, etc. The output waveform is generally square wave ABZ signal or Gray code signal. The maximum stroke can be 30000mm. The linear accuracy is up to 0.05% F.S. According to different encoders configured, the length represented by each pulse is also different. At present, it can reach up to 0.01mm/pulse.
The draw-wire displacement sensor of analog signal type generally uses imported multi-turn wound potentiometer as the core sensing element. The output signal can be 4-20mA, 0-5V, 1-5V, 0-10V, resistance signal, etc. The maximum measurement stroke can also reach 30 meters. The draw-wire displacement sensor treated with sealing and waterproofing can be used in an environment with a protection level of up to IP67 and a wide temperature environment of -45℃~+105℃.
Application fields:
The draw-wire displacement sensor is especially suitable for linear guide rail systems, hydraulic cylinder systems, testing machines, telescopic systems (gates, forklifts, presses, lifts, pipe benders, bending machines, etc.), cranes or cable winches, reservoir dam protection systems, gate opening control systems, testing machine pressure machinery, hydraulic universal testing machinery, storage location positioning, pressure machinery, paper machinery, textile machinery, metal sheet machinery, packaging machinery, printing machinery, level control instruments, construction machinery, level control instruments, construction machinery, industrial robots, injection molding machines, woodworking machinery, elevators, air compressors/oil presses, height machines, X-Y axes and other related length displacement and other size measurement and position control. It is especially suitable for the control of electro-hydraulic servo universal testing machines. It can completely replace the grating ruler. Other application occasions can be customized, and low-cost and high-precision measurement can be completely achieved.
